Despite the many advantages of DR applications as well as the promising results of the successful deployment of Demand Side Response by a number of research and early demonstration projects that have produced key elements such as optimisation algorithms, trial deployments in individual or block of buildings, data collection on appliance use and consumer engagement, etc., there are very few examples of the successful deployment of DSR technologies that consider Virtual Power Plants as well as decentralized approaches, towards achieving a reduction in peak grid demand and real savings for final consumers.
Among such context, eDREAM project is demonstrating a closed-loop demand response framework, designed to maintain the real-time balance of supply and demand in a decentralised environment.
The webinar will, therefore, introduce and explore new demand response technologies and services developed within eDREAM project, more specifically:
- Techniques for Demand Response and Energy Flexibility Assessment
- Next-generation of Demand Response Services for Aggregators and Customers
- Blockchain-enabled decentralised network control optimisation and Demand Response verification
